DIY Tall Candelabra

This year I decided that I wanted to decorate my house with a Vampire Chic Vibe.

You know like a house Vampire girl would live in, spooky but Chic!

Now, of course, this meant I would need a ton of candles and candelabras, but once I started pricing them out, I realized very quickly I would have to get creative on my own.

Thankfully, Dollar Tree did not let me down I was able to make this gorgeous candelabra for under $17!

  • You can watch the video tutorial here!

Supplies I used:

  • 9 candleholders

  • 1 pack of bead necklaces

  • 1 pack of display easels

  • 2 packs of LED emergency candles

  • Glue Gun or E6000

  • black (or spray paint color of choice)

Directions:

The next best part about this project is that it's fast and easy! I just glued the candle holders together, making sure the half spheres lined up.

I tried using both E6000 and the glue gun, and personally I like the glue gun better. The candle holders look like wood, but they are actually made of plastic, and it allows them to bond together quickly.

But if you want a little wiggle room for positioning and don't mind waiting a little for it to dry, then use the E6000.

Next, I glued the display easels together, and placed them on top of the candelabra stand.

Then I glued the base of the emergency candles on all 4 areas.

(you can try using other candle holders also. These work great for the candles they came with, but did not hold some of the other battery powered candles I ordered)

And finally I draped a beaded necklace around the top of the candelabra and secured it with the glue gun before spray painting it all black.

And that was it! See, Easy peasy

Now, I used 9 candleholders to make my tall candelabra, but you can also make a tabletop version or a midsize version too!

Also, I knew I wanted to place mine in certain places where my big base would be in the way. But if you wanted to add a little more stability to the bottom, you can attach the base to a piece of wood, a picture frame, etc!

I hope you love your new candelabra as much as I love mine!
